What is Unsliced?

Unsliced is a special Slice for money that has not been reserved. It can show what is safe to spend, provide coverage when a Slice is overspent, or show what remains from a paycheck before you move it to savings.

How to use Unsliced

Unsliced works like another Slice. You can assign a transaction back to Unsliced, transfer money into it, or use a Rule to move money into it automatically.

Unsliced is also the default Slice when you set up Rules and when a Rescue transaction needs to cover spending.

Yes. Transfer money to Unsliced or set a Rule that moves money there automatically.

Can I assign a transaction back to Unsliced?+

Yes. Unsliced can receive transactions just like another Slice.

Why is Unsliced important?+

It shows money that has not been reserved for a purpose and can provide coverage when a Slice is overspent.
